Form 5 Class of ‘70 Ex-St. Michaeleans’ 4th reunion dinner

PENAMPANG: The Form 5 Class of ‘70 of St. Michael Secondary School, Penampang held their 4th reunion dinner on February 25.

Some 60 people comprising ex-students of the school, their spouses, family members as well as friends and grandchildren attended the event held at the Hibiscus Room in ITCC here.

The dinner was hosted by the owner of ITCC, Datuk Seri Panglima Clarence B. Malakun.

Among those present were Senator Datuk John Ambrose, Rev. Father Thomas Makajil, Francis Tokiu, Paulinus Mojiun, KK Zairus Bingkasan, Irene Jubily and Josephine Majalang.

In his welcoming speech, Malakun thanked all ex-classmates and their respective spouses as well as those who came to represent their loved ones who have passed on for celebrating the reunion dinner together.

The memorable goodwill and fellowship dinner was held in conjunction with the Chap Goh Mei which was celebrated a day earlier. 

The night was filled with activities such as group photo, reunion cake-cutting, karaoke, exchanging gifts and speeches and reminiscing the endearing and funny memories.

Emmanuel Tendahal shared about their experience conquering Mount Kinabalu during their teenage years.

Meanwhile, Father Thomas said the reunion was appropriate as “all of us are in our twilight years and we should continue to knock on each other’s doors to maintain our friendship and connections”.
