PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is only wasting the people’s time, said Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili (pic).

“There are a lot of other pressing issues that need immediate action,” said the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs).

He was commenting on the Parti Keadilan Rakyat president’s insistence that he has the majority support in Parliament after his royal audience yesterday.

“For now, our priorities should be protecting the people’s welfare and wellbeing, and improve our economy, especially with Malaysia, like the rest of the world, combating against Covid-19.

“Containing the spread of this deadly virus is most important now. The people have suffered enough.

“We got better things to do. We have lots to catch up,” said Dr Maximus.

Yesterday, after his audience with the King, Anwar who is Port Dickson MP told a Press conference that he has the numbers and that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin should resign.

Shortly afterwards, Istana Negara released a press statement saying Anwar never submitted the list of MPs he claimed supporting him.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah also advised Anwar to comply and respect the lawful procedures as stipulated in the Constitution.-BorneoGazette
