RHODES Panilau ditched Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) to join Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) last night.

The former Warisan Tuaran secretary and Warisan Tuaran election machinery secretary handed his membership application form to PBS Kiulu Chief, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai at Kampung Malangang Baru, Kiulu.

Rhodes said he had lost confidence in Warisan since the party reneged on many of its promises such as no elected representative be appointed as GLCs chairman and that the Chief Minister will not hold the Finance portfolio.

Joniston in welcoming Rhodes into the party’s fold believed he could play an important role in making the people realise that a mistake was made when they chose Warisan in the last General Election.

“We hope that with Rhodes joining us in our campaign trails we can win all the seats that we are contesting in Tuaran,” said the incumbent Kiulu assemblyman.

Also on hand was PBS Kiulu deputy chief, Datuk Louis Rampas.-Borneo Gazette
